Last week flew by and we tried out the Smoked Gouda & Bacon Stuffed Pork Chops last Sunday but I never got around to updating  until now. Which is ok, because coincidentally instead of trying something new this weekend, we chose two previous favorite recipes from our Sunday dinner adventures thus far and took the ingredients over to my brother and sister-in-law’s house along with my parents to share what we’ve been up to in the kitchen.

The Karpiuks are headed to Canada this summer! Specifically, British Columbia. We’ve been wanting to go to Vancouver for awhile now to see some of the Karpiuks that live out on the west coast. I’m excited about getting to spend some time with Lucas’ brother and sister-in-law and their family, and we’re hoping to hook up with Grandma & Grandpa Karpiuk, too. We’ll also head inland a bit to Penticton to see Lucas’ parents and some of our friends. Penticton is beautiful in the summer, and I’ve never been to Vancouver so I can’t wait for this vacation!

One of my busiest freelance clients offered me a full-time job, starting tomorrow. No benefits yet, but I get to work from home, the hours are flexible, and the pay is decent. One step closer to babymaking time!

Happy Holidays! I’m officially on Christmas break and there’s only 2 shopping days left.  Around here we’re pretty much done with our handmade gifts and are looking ahead to what 2010 possibly has in store for us. We’re looking forward to spending time with family and friends in Indiana this Christmas, though we’re missing our family and friends in Canada this holiday season, too.
Firstly, our Christmas cards went out last week and most have been received. They feature our 2009 Karpiuk family photo, and they turned out really cute, if I do say so myself.
