Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza
Happy Sunday!
We’re finally back after surviving the move and ready to try out a new recipe this week. Firstly, the move went great. Thanks to family and friends, we managed to complete the move in a couple of hours in one giant trip. We moved about 40 minutes north, closer to my new job, and we LOVE the new place. We have tons more space and at least one fantastic neighbor. :) (Thanks for all your help, Chris!) The area is beautiful, and we’ve spent our first week exploring all of our new surroundings and getting acquainted. I love that work is 10 minutes away vs. an hour and 10 with rush …

The Karpiuks Went to Dragon Con!
New photos! New photos! Last weekend Lucas and I attended Dragon Con in Atlanta, GA, and there are lots of new photos to share from our adventures there. We hopped in the car after work on Friday and drove to Georgia with our friend Chris. It was a fun roadtrip! We arrived late but got to meet my #WonderTwin Kara, and her husband Jake, who helped us check in at the hotel. We took Oscar the Cthulhu, made by Ruth, and Oscar went everywhere I went, ensuring he got to partake in the fun of the weekend.
Saturday was our first day at the convention. Even though Dragon Con had started officially on Friday, I didn’t …

Classic Chicken Pot Pie
Happy Sunday! In my last post I went through a long list of exciting things going on for us right now, but in the midst of all that good stuff we still managed to find time to try a new recipe this weekend. Yay! We technically tried our new recipe yesterday evening after getting home from a much-needed grocery shop, but who’s keeping track of the rules, here, anyway?
While cleaning out the fridge in preparation for a grocery run, I noticed that we had an extra frozen pie crust that looked a little lonely there in the freezer. I quickly racked my brain for meals I could make that would involve a pie crust, AND …

Smoked Gouda & Bacon Stuffed Pork Chops
Last week flew by and we tried out the Smoked Gouda & Bacon Stuffed Pork Chops last Sunday but I never got around to updating until now. Which is ok, because coincidentally instead of trying something new this weekend, we chose two previous favorite recipes from our Sunday dinner adventures thus far and took the ingredients over to my brother and sister-in-law’s house along with my parents to share what we’ve been up to in the kitchen.
Because we wanted to play it safe when bringing new people into the fold of our tradition, we picked two recipes we had tried and loved and knew our family would enjoy- the Jalapeño Cream Cheese Stuffed Chicken from a few …

Surprise (Cookie Dough) Cupcakes!
Considering that I’m writing this post on a Monday, it may seem that we “forgot” to keep up with our new tradition already of finding a new recipe to try for dinner each Sunday. While it may appear we’ve already veered off course, it’s not because we forgot; yesterday Lucas and I were so busy cleaning the house to get ready for our lovely house guests this week that we just didn’t have time. In fact, on Saturday when we were at the grocery, we commented on how we’d probably have to skip our new recipe tradition this week. As sad as that is, especially since I was so excited about trying something new & …

Our Sunday Tradition
So Lucas and I started a new tradition recently and we thought it would be fun to share it with everyone else. Every Sunday, besides the normal doing-no-work-and-relaxing part, we’ve decided to start expanding our culinary repertoire by picking out a brand new recipe, grabbing all of the ingredients fresh, and then trying to cook it together. Note that I put “trying” in that sentence, because we’re sure that while our cooking adventures will be full of lots of awesome, it will also be fraught with some failure. It’s inevitable. And that’s ok, because we’re learning!
The idea is that each week we’ll type up a post to share what recipes we used for that Sunday’s menu. …
