week 19 - 52collages 2014 - thekarpiuksHappy Mother’s Day! I am so lucky to have these two wonderful kids. Just look at those smiles! This week we played at the park and Liam showed off his daring side by jumping from rock to rock and swinging up to the clouds. (He’s getting so big and strong!) It was also Teacher Appreciation Week, and Liam made his teachers some custom coffee mugs that said, “Thanks a latte for being a great teacher!” and we used the Sharpie decoration technique we’ve seen all over Pinterest to make them. The mugs were very well received and we had fun making them! The weather has been absolutely perfect lately, and on Saturday we packed a picnic lunch and took it to the park to eat and play. I sewed my first dress for Lila this week, too, and made a matching headband to go with it. The dress was the perfect outfit for her to wear on her first Mother’s Day! To celebrate, we had brunch with my mom & dad, grandmas, and Herman, Lora, & Jackson. I sure am thankful for my own mom, who has always been so loving and supportive. I know that I am the person and mom I am today because of her. I love you, mom! Liam and Lucas picked out some beautiful hanging flowers for the front of the house as a Mother’s Day gift, and Liam was very proud that he got to choose them. I love the latest photo of Liam & Lila with me – what a fantastic and memorable Mother’s Day!
