What a week filled with love! This week the boys practiced their favorite faces in the bathroom mirror for me after taking a bath, which has become part of their bathtime routine. We had some surprise snow that turned into less of a dusting and more like five inches of snowy mess, and then it was Valentine’s Day. Liam wore his awesome Greedo shirt because it was the only red shirt he had to wear for his festive class party. (Considering how much I love Greedo, this seemed fitting.) My wonderful friends at work threw me a Donuts & Diapers shower and we enjoyed delicious donuts and I received lots of diapers and fun little gifts from some very special people in preparation for Lila. Can you believe we are a week away from meeting her now? I went over to visit during Liam’s class party to read a Valentine’s Day story to his classroom, which was a lot of fun. The boys were my valentines of course, and took me out for a perfect romantic sushi dinner. On Saturday my parents came up to visit, and Liam got to experience grandma’s famous sugar cookies. Heart-shaped, of course. They were delicious! (Thanks, mom!) On Sunday we noticed that Liam had a seriously infected finger and we decided to run him over to MedCheck instead of waiting until his doctor was in on Tuesday, since it’s a long weekend. Our kiddo was a champ and let the doctor numb it and drain it for him, and he started some light antibiotics to help clear it up fast. While we waited for the numbing gel to kick in, I snapped the most perfect picture of Liam showing me his poor finger… it’s too bad he has no idea why it’s so fantastic, haha!
