She’s finally here! This week was full of family and love. It started with a day off from work and school on Monday for President’s Day, and though Lucas still had to work, Liam and I played with LEGO in the morning and went to the local bounce castle place to burn energy and get some fresh air. We’ve been getting everything ready for Lila, and it’s a good thing, because she decided to come on Thursday! My parents stayed at our house with Liam for a few days while we were in the hospital with our beautiful princess, and we just got home in the wee hours of this morning. She has so much hair! Liam was not able to come to the hospital at all during our stay because of a flu ban for anyone under 18, but we made it work by video chatting so that Liam could at least meet his little sister virtually until we could come home. When we got home this morning, it was a surprise for Liam and he was so excited to finally meet Lila in person. Thanks to a little help from grandma and grandpa, Liam surprised me with some beautiful flowers and a balloon to celebrate his baby sister’s arrival, too. Our family is complete and we’re looking forward to the days ahead and adjusting together. Thanks to my parents for all of their help this week!
(And look for a proper post just about Lila’s arrival and some letters to both Liam and Lila very soon, when we get a chance to write!)
